Read the story04 / THE ARTIST

Leander Winters is an independent artist, writer, and poet who builds songs around the things people struggle to say plainly. His haunting synthpop and alternative pop pair piano, strings, and electronic rhythms with lyrics that move between intimate stories, strange imagery, and questions without easy answers.
Love, betrayal, and the routines that outlast a relationship run through his writing. A verse can hold an ache, an argument, and a small discovery at once. He is drawn to the contradictions: how tenderness survives disappointment, how leaving can be necessary and still hurt, and how a familiar memory changes meaning years later.
That curiosity follows him beyond the page. He loves hiking mountain trails, seeking out waterfalls, and exploring caves; as a rock hound and gemstone collector, he is fascinated by what the earth keeps beneath its surface. Closer to home, books, tea, gardening, and meditation give him room to notice the details. His music makes something of those discoveries, both the ones you can hold in your hand and the ones you have to write down.
Still becoming.
Still holding the pen.
